Most Scenic Motorcycle Rides You Should Do In India

Our country India is a vast one, covered with a variety of different landscapes, climates and people. However, there are a few places and routes which really commands a riding enthusiast to go get on the saddle and hit the road. Here in this issue, we have listed some of the most scenic motorcycle roads/trips which you should consider taking to satisfy the tourer inside you. 

1. Delhi-Chandigarh-Manali-Leh

 

The northern part of India, Especially Ladakh is probably one of the most popular and scenic destinations for all bikers. Not to mention that bikers do consider Ladakh as the holy grail of motorcycling. It certainly feels like the top of the world. The changes in the scenery are very dramatic especially with the change in altitude. Riders can choose to start from the bustling city of Delhi and ride to the very planned city of Chandigarh which will be followed by the lush green mountains of Manali. From Manali, the riders then ascend to the barren landscape of Leh. You can also do the Manali to Leh stretch. Some places which are worth riding to and from are beyond Leh like Nubra Valley, Pangong Tso, Chang La which is also the second-highest motorable pass in the world at  17,800 feet. Presently, there are a lot of organizations which conduct and curate rides to Northern India, especially if you are looking to ride in Ladakh. The whole experience is quite exhilarating and every motorcyclist wants to do that stretch one in his/her life. 

 

2. North-East India

 

If you are someone who loves riding and natural beauty, riding a motorcycle in North-Eastern India is what you should not miss out on doing. The meandering roads, some of which also pose some really challenging conditions. However, what treats the eyes and the mind is the natural beauty, which surrounds the places all over. 3. Rajasthan

Rajasthan holds a special appeal among bikers and most of them enthusiasts. While riding in Rajasthan, you come across beautiful roads, share lanes with camels and carts, come across colourful villages and meet some really nice and hospitable locals. It is one of the places that a motorcyclist should explore. Rajasthan is very accessible from Delhi, Gujarat as well as Mumbai. So riding there from any of the states is very easy and simple. The top destinations which should be explored in Rajasthan are Jaipur, Bikaner, Mandawa, Jaiselmer, Jodhpur, Udaipur, Ranthambore. There are several travel companies which also organize motorcycle tours from major cities to Rajasthan providing a great experience without you having to do all the hard work which lets you enjoy the ride instead.

4. Kerala

Kerala is a tropical state in the South of India and it actually is a delight, both with beaches and backwaters. Also dubbed as God’s Own Country, Kerala is known for its spice producing estates and some of the very scenic hill stations. Life there moves at its own pace and you can see a sort of laid back life in the places you go. The scenic views are sure to elate anyone’s, especially if you are on a motorcycle. If you are into riding, ride on and around Kerala and see how beauty affects the human mind and senses. 5. Tamil Nadu Coast

6. Rann of Kutch, Gujarat

Last but not the least, this one trail is off the regular touristy rides and more of an experience if you go for it. The spectacular rural countryside of the Kutch region in Gujarat. Also referred to as the ‘wild west’, the Kutch region consists of seasonal wetlands, salt flats of the Great Rann of Kutch. The Little Rann of Kutch is also famous for its wild Ass sanctuary. The ride is moderate difficulty and most of us can actually do it without any difficulties.
