The all-new Audi A6 has finally landed in India with its elegant design. Virat Kohli, India’s Cricket Captain and Audi Brand Ambassador launched the Audi A6. It is priced from Rs 54.2 lakh (ex-showroom, India). There are a few updates in the new A6, let’s take a closer look at them.
Starting from the front, the Audi A6 gets a single-frame grille with chrome trim which looks quite stunning. Apart from that, it gets Audi’s flat matrix LED headlights and gets the usual dynamic turn indicators at the front and at the rear. The 18-inch alloys on the A6 could have had a better design. Nevertheless, the 225/55 tyre profile should not be a problem while driving on the roads.
Under the hood of the new Audi A6, it gets a 2.0-litre TFSI engine producing 245hp and 370Nm of torque which is mated to a 7-speed S Tronic gearbox. That’s not it, there is a 12V lithium-ion battery that comes from the mild-hybrid technology via belt alternator starter. The A6 reaches the 100 km/h mark in 6.8 seconds. We’ll soon test how efficient the powertrain is in the city.
On the inside, it gets a 10.1-inch display and MMI touch response and Audi’s popular virtual cockpit. As driving aids, it gets park assist, with front and rear parking sensors along with lane departure warning system. The A6 is equipped with a 3D sound system from Bang & Olufsen. The Audi A6 is a direct rival to the Mercedes-Benz C Class, Jaguar XF, BMW 5 Series, Volvo S90 and the Lexus LS. Stay tuned to thewheelz.com for a detailed review of it!
