The upcoming James Bond movie does not have a title yet, but the car which will be driven by James Bond has already been decided. The Aston Martin Valhalla has been confirmed for the upcoming installment of the James Bond franchise.
The Aston Martin Valhalla is the name for the AM-RB 003 a mid-engined concept hybrid supercar which was unveiled in the 2019 Geneva Motor show. It will be featured in the upcoming Bond movie alongside two other Aston Martins – The Aston Martin DB5 and the Aston Martin V8 Vantage. The movie is slated to be released in the year 2020.
The car, also known as the Valhalla now, is expected to pack a 1000 HP drivetrain which would consist of an electric motor running in conjunction with a V6 engine, a-limited-slip-differential and an e-AWD system. The drivetrain is expected to be mated with 8-speed dual-clutch transmission. All this is expected to hurl the Valhalla from standstill to 100 km/hr in just 2.5 seconds while the top speed is expected to be in the 220 mph (354 km/hr) ballpark.
Alongside the new Aston Martin Valhalla, the DB5 and the V8 Vantage is also expected to be seen doing rounds in the movie. Interestingly, the Aston Martin and James Bond relationship took shape in 1964 with the release of the Bond movie ‘Goldfinger’ spanning over 50 years of association with the brand and the franchise. As for the upcoming hypercar from Aston Martin’s stable, the Valhalla sits below the Aston Martin Valkyrie in the lineup and is expected to enter production in 2021. However, it would be seen in action with the release of the next installment of the Bond movie.
