True to its name ‘Venue’, Hyundai Motor India yesterday finally showcased to the Indian media its upcoming sub-4meter compact SUV at a very unique destination – a cruise ship traveling from Mumbai to Goa. Set to be launched in the mid of May 2019, here are some photos of the much awaited Hyundai Venue from the seas.
Ready to take on the likes of Maruti Vitara Brezza, Ford Ecosport, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300, Hyundai Venue has a very interesting front end design. Departure from traditional SUV designs, Hyundai Venue looks more upmarket and shares similarities with its European siblings like the Hyundai Kona and Hyundai SantaFe.
- Hyundai Venue front grille:
One of the most eye-catching elements of this SUV is its cascading front grille. Hyundai Venue’s grille comes finished in chrome that would be liked by most customers in the country. Inclusion of a silver skid plate adds character to this sub-4 meter SUV.
Hyundai Venue headlamps divided into two:
Unlike traditional SUV’s, Hyundai Venue has a unique headlamps design. The top portion is a sleek unit comprising of LED DRL’s while the lower half offers projector headlamps. Besides these, Hyundai Venue also caters to a pair of fog lamps.
Hyundai Venue side profile:
Key highlights of Hyundai Venue’s side profile include roof rails, chrome finished door handles and diamond cut alloy wheels. This portion might seem a bit familiar courtesy design cues that have been taken from its elder sibling the Hyundai Creta.
Hyundai Venue Rear:
The rear profile of Hyundai Venue brings together a longer windscreen, LED tail lights, integrated reflector inserts with LED lighting. Placement of a silver skid plate helps complete the overall exterior design of this SUV.
Hyundai Venue Interiors:
With an all-black cabin, Hyundai Venue offers a plush interior. Some of features provided on the inside include an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto & Apple CarPlay, electric sunroof, automatic climate control, glove box cooling among many others.
Hyundai Venue Engine specification:
Hyundai Venue will offer 3 engine options. The first will be a 1.0 litre Turbo charged petrol engine debuting for the very first time. It will produce a power output of 120bhp. While the others would be a 1.2 litre Kappa petrol good for 83 bhp of power while the 1.4 litre diesel will deliver 90 bhp power.
Hyundai Venue to feature New Dual Clutch Transmission:
The 1.0 litre variant of Hyundai Venue will feature an all new 7-speed dual clutch transmission. Besides this there will be a 5-speed and a 6-speed manual transmission on offer on board this SUV.
