Classis Legends Priivate Limited today announced the arrival of Jawa Motorcycles in India. The Jawa range for that matter comprises of Jawa, Jawa 42 and Jawa Perak. As anticipated earlier, the model name Jawa 300 Classic Roadster was given a ditch to promote the actual heritage that bring us back to the iconic Jawa nameplate. Thus Jawa 300 Classic Roadster/ Jawa is priced at Rs 1.64 lakhs while Jawa 42 costs Rs 1.55 lakhs with Jawa Perak being priced at Rs 1.89 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi). Bookings for Jawa and Jawa 42 are now open across 105 dealerships in the country as deliveries are expected to begin early next year.
Powering Jawa and Jawa 42 is an-all new 293cc single-cylinder engine. This engine is capable of producing a power output of 27 bhp with 28 Nm of peak torque. Transmission duties are carried out by a 6-speed gearbox. According to the company, this engine has been built from scratch in Italy and in India. The engine is BSIV complaint and shares certain components like bore and stroke with that of Mahindra Mojo’s 300 cc engine.
Based on the original design, 2018 Jawa is almost identical to the iconic Jawa 250 Type A. Thus what we see on this latest iterations is a retro-style headlamp, cylindrical fuel tank that features a dual-tone chrome finish, flared mud guards with pin stripes on them, flat seat and the iconic twin exhaust system. Jawa comes in three colour options Maroon, black and grey. In comparison to that Jawa 42 brings forward a matt finish paint job comprising of six colours namely Hally’s Teal, Galactic Green, Lumos Lime, Nebula Blue, Starlight Blue and Comet Red.

Jawa Perak which is a factory custom built motorcycle is quipped with a bigger capacity engine. The engine in this case happens to be a 334cc, liquid cooled, single cylinder DOHC unit capable of producing a maximum power output of 30 bhp alongside 31 Nm of peak torque. The price for Perak has already been revealed however the company has stated that the booking for this particular version would open at a later date.
