Tata Motors after feeding the architectural information about their much-awaited SUV – Harrier have finally released its images. In its production avatar, the Indian manufacturer rolled out the first Tata Harrier at their new assembling line in Pune. Apart from sharing the official photos, Tata Motors also announced that bookings for Tata Harrier are open as this premium SUV is expected to be introduced sometime early in 2019.
“We have been receiving a tremendous response from the customers ever since we opened bookings of the Harrier, a fortnight ago. With the all-new assembly line ready and the rollout of the 1st Harrier, we are now gearing up to start deliveries in early 2019. The Harrier, with its stunning design, will definitely appeal to customers, especially those who have eagerly waited for the product since its showcase as the H5X concept at the Auto Expo 2018. We are confident that the Harrier will set new benchmarks in the SUV segment, in 2019”, commented Mayank Pareek, President, Passenger Vehicle Business Unit, Tata Motors.
Showcased as H5X Concept during this year’s Auto Expo, Tata Harrier in profile is very similar to the prototype. In fact, based on the company’s IMPACT Design 2.0 philosophy, the Harrier provides an aggressive and a rugged exterior design. The interiors are expected to be premium while getting ready to see the latest in connected technology from the automaker who will also equip the Harrier with best-in-class infotainment system.
Tata Harrier is a 5-seater monocoque SUV built on ‘Optimal Modular Efficient Global Advanced’ Architecture, which is a derivative of legendary Land Rover D8 architecture. Tata Motors and Jaguar Land Rover have together worked on this project.
