Korean carmaker,Hyundai, has revealed the next-gen Elantra in the U.S Market.
It will make it’s debut in the Indian market hopefully by 2019 and it just cannot called a facelift as there seem to be major aesthetic changes.
The headlamps are a whole lot sharper than the outgoing model and are highlighted mainly by triangular DRL’s which house a couple of LED projectors. The front bumper has also been subjected to major revisions along with triangular fog lamps which still house air curtains for better handling.
A lot is yet to be known about the car in terms of mechanical changes, especially the India bound version. Mechanically, one can expect the car to come with a 2.0-litre diesel pot that is present in the current model along with the 2.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol motor. We can surely expect the addition of a hybrid motor this time around as the Korean carmaker has been betting big time on electric and hybrid models for the Indian market.
Meanwhile, Hyundai is also planning to launch the new Santro in India which has been codenamed ‘AH2’. Hyundai has also launched official sketches of the same and will be launching the peoples hatchback again in this coming month!
