Korean carmaker Hyundai has been doing well in the Indian market off late especially in the sedan segment with the new Verna and the Elantra doing fairly well. However, images of the new Elantra have been trending online .
Called the Avante or the new Elantra, the sedan will come with tweaked headlamps with LED DRL highlighting the top, new grille and an updated bumper. We can also expect newly designed alloy wheels along with new LED tail lamps merging into the rear bumper.
On the inside, we can expect new details like a new updated infotainment system and MID. Undet the hood, a new petrol unit is planned on the mid-life update. It’s the SmartStream G1.6 petrol engine that debuted in 2018 Kia K3 (2019 Kia Forte). This engine develops 123 PS and 15.7 kg.m (154 Nm) of torque in the Kia model. It will come linked to the SmartStream IVT (Intelligent Variable Transmission), which is a newly-developed CVT transmission.
We can expect the same to be launched in the Korean market by 2019 and will most likely hit the Indian shores by the end of next year. The recently launched Tucson AWD has been getting a favorable response too and is the Elite i20!
