Japanese carmaker Toyota’s luxury division- Lexus will be bringing in the NX300h in the Indian market. It was showcased this week in Mumbai and this will the carmaker’s fourth model in India. Bookings for the same have already started across Lexus dealerships in India for a token amount of Rs. 5 lakh and we can expect the car to be priced around Rs. 70 Lakh.
Just like the Lexus range in India, the NX300h will be a hybrid model which will be powered by a 2.5-litre petrol-electric motor which is good enough to churn out 196bhp of power which it borrows from the ES300h sedan. It will come in two engine variants namely the ‘Luxury’ and the loaded “F Sport” variant. A 10.3-inch infotainment screen is the highlight of the dashboard and the overall interior elements are very Lexus like which is a good thing as the quality is top notch.
The unveiling event took place at AB Celestial which is located at Mumbai’s Sea Face. A bright orange NX300h was placed on a ferry parked next to the dock which complemented Mumbai’s skyline. The ferry also played host to a fashion show later in the night. Lexus dealers, probably buyers and Page 3 celebrities were all present at the event.
We will be driving the NX300h very soon and stay tuned to Exhibit Magazine for a detailed review of the same!
