Mahindra has launched a new limited edition of its Scorpio SUV. Titled the Mahindra Scorpio Adventure, the variant will have a limited production run of 1000 units. The primary focus of the limited edition is on cosmetic updates. However the manufacturer has added a couple of new features such as side mirrors with turn indicators, reverse camera and triple-jet windscreen washer to add value to the package.
Silver/white dual color scheme, new decals, gunmetal alloys, red brake calipers and smoked tail lamps are the main visual differences that distinguish the Adventure edition from the standard Scorpio. Changes on the inside include faux leather covering the seats, steering wheel and gear lever. Blue fabric inserts add to the sportiness of the interiors. Based on the top-end ‘S10’ trim, the Adventure also has a 6-inch touchscreen infotainment system, GPS navigation, automatic climate control and projector headlamps.
With 120bhp of power and 280Nm of torque coming from the same 2.2-litre four-cylinder mHawk unit mated to a 5-speed manual transmission, the Scorpio Adventure will be available in both 2WD and 4WD configurations. Prices have been set at Rs. 13.07 lakh for the 2WD variant and Rs. 14.24 for 4WD variant (ex-showroom, Maharashtra).
