Icannot express my love for cafe racers in a more simpler manner than by calling in our 3rd consecutive cafe style bike. The 2015 Triumph Thruxton is rich in heritage and fun to ride. The very first glance at this 2-wheeler is amorous for an individual. It isn’t hunky, neither does it roar like a lion yet it is legendary in its own English way. The styling is inspired by the distinguished Cafe Racer culture, where bikers raced between distant joints on their home made light weight motorcycles. I believe the Thruxton helps you relive that fun old days in the new age society with that iconic style statement, waving bar-end mirrors and the signature Bonneville 865cc parallel twin engine.
- The name Thruxton has been derived from the Thruxton Circuit which is based in a village called Thruxton in Hampshire, England. Triumph won multiple motorcycling events here and had always been an undefeated champion with many trophies in their name. While we tested and pushed the bike to its extreme on the Mumbai roads we realised that Triumph is not just a name but also a symbol of your distinct passions. every signal stop meant the traffic crept upon to gaze around the Brookland Green ride. The smartly color-coded fly screen on the front end and the detachable seat hump is something that makes the ride worthy for our eyes.
- I know many would say a true cafe racer is the one which is made from scratch and the rider knows every nut and bolt of the bike, but the Thruxton lacks no sense of individuality either. Talking about the riding comfort, the ergonomics on this bike offer great flexibility to the rider with enough room to stretch even in motion. The sporty stance encourages one to push the throttle a little harder while you go zipping past window panes even in traffic. The bikes performance can be peaked maximum up to 69 BHP at 7400 rpm and 69 NM at 5800 rpm. This is sufficient enough to satisfy your hunger for thrill.
