Now will be a field time for bike enthusiasts in the country as Yamaha Motor India introduces their much-awaited motorcycle MT-15 for customers in India. Yamaha MT-15 is priced at ₹1.36 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) in India, also Nicknamed as the Dark Warrier, Yamaha MT-15 is basically a naked motorcycle based on Yamaha YZF-R15 V3.
As a result of this what you see is a more commuter-centric motorcycle rather than a Sportbike setup. Presence of a handlebar setup reinstates its practicality when compared to the YZF-R15 V3 that sports a clip-on set up.
Yamaha MT-15 is powered by the same 155cc engine that is available with Yamaha YZF-R15 V3. Thus the 155cc motor churns out a maximum power output of 19.3PS at 10,000rpm with 14.7Nm of peak torque at 8,500rpm. The Dark Warrior, Yamaha MT-15 focuses on giving the young generation a feel of instant snappy rides across the town. It has a 245mm front disc brake with a single-channel ABS, tyre width of 140mm, and the mean look that it gets from its Bi-functional LED headlight along with LED taillights at the rear. The MT-15 has a negative LCD instrument panel and the motorcycle will be offered in two colours, namely Metallic Black and Dark Matt Blue. It’s basically R15 without the fairings and swanky looking headlight, also with a price cut.
