Next-Gen Maruti Ertiga bookings open in India

With just a week left for much awaited MPV launch, Maruti Suzuki today revealed that they have opened bookings for the Ertiga. New Maruti Ertiga can now be booked with an initial amount of Rs 11,000 across all Maruti Suzuki dealerships in the country. Set to launch on the 21st of November 2018, next generation Maruti Ertiga is all about aspirational design. This 7-seater MPV according to the Indian automaker will offer enhanced space and comfort.

Based on the 5th Generation HEARTECT platform, the New Maruti Ertiga will offer a more stronger and rigid frame. As a result, the Ertiga stands to provide better NVH performance and safety. Further, the company has stated that it would offer the all-new Maruti Ertiga in 5 colour options namely Pearl Matallic Aubum Red which is a new paint shade followed by Metallic Magma Grey, Pearl Metallic Oxford Blue, Pearl Artic White and Metallic Silky Silver.

Powering 2018 Maruti Ertiga will be a petrol and diesel motor. The petrol for that matter is an all-new engine, the one that we have seen recently on Maruti Ciaz. Thus this engine is a 1.5 litre unit featuring SHVS mild hybrid technology capable of producing a power output of 104 bhp with 138 Nm of peak torque. While the diesel engine is the same 1.3 litre unit that we have seen before on the Ertiga churning out 89 bhp. Matted to a 5-speed manual gearbox for both petrol and diesel models, the Ertiga will also be offered with a 4-speed automatic transmission. We expect the automatic to be offered only in VXi and ZXi petrol trims.

Significant changes worth making a note off on the 2018 Maruti Suzuki Ertiga are a new grille, projector headlamps and bumper upfront. While its side profile will feature a new set of alloy wheels backed by new wrap around taillights towards the rear. The cabin would cater to a new automatic climate control system, rear AC vents alongside a new SmartPlay infotainment system providing a 6.8-inch floating touchscreen compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
