After having launched the much-awaited New Hyundai Santro last month, Hyundai Motor India in a recent statement said that they have recorded their highest domestic sales figure for October 2018. Citing the re-introduction of iconic Santro, the Korean automaker shared that it had achieved a record sales number of 52,001 units. In comparison to last year for the same period, the company has seen an increase of 4.9 per cent in Domestic Sales. Whereas its Export figures stood at 13,019 units which are 3.7 per cent more than last year for the same duration.
“Hyundai achieved highest ever domestic sales with 52,001 units and a growth of 4.9 per cent, on the strong demand pull created by the blockbuster launch of India’s Favourite Family Car – The All New SANTRO, improving customers sentiments and setting a new benchmark in the industry. The All-New SANTRO clocked wholesale of over 8500 units along with the strong performance of the Hyundai‘Ten Thousand Club Cars’ CRETA, ELITE i20 and GRAND i10”, commented Vikas Jain, National Sales Head, Hyundai Motor India Ltd.
Recreating its magic, all-new Hyundai Santro is off to a great start with the Indian consumer. As per the brand, they have already received 28,800 bookings since its launch on the 23rd of October 2018. With just 22 days gone by, the response has been overwhelming as the company received more than 1,29,500 enquiries during the period. With a current production capacity of 10,000 units per month, the Santro already has a waiting period of 4 months which is bound to increase considering the attraction that it is creating for itself.
