The festive season is just around the corner and India’s second largest car manufacturer- Hyundai has officially revealed the first sketch of it’s upcoming Hatchback code named ‘AH2‘. It is expected to be called the “New Santro” when it is launched around Diwali this year and is based on the new “Rhythmical Tension” design language.
Commenting on the unveiling of the Render Images of AH2, Mr. YK Koo, MD &
CEO Hyundai Motor India Ltd said, “Hyundai Motor India has created benchmarks in
Indian automobile industry by introducing Cutting-edge technologies and Best-in-
segment world-class products for past 20 years.”
Here are some of the few spy shots which have been doing the rounds on the internet.
Hyundai has marked twenty years in the Indian market and the Santro was the first ever car which was rolled out of the Korean carmaker’s stable in the Indian market in 1998. The brand has come a long way since then and has plans to ride on the success that the orignal Santro achieved in 1998 with the upcoming ‘AH2’.
According to various sources, the “AH2” is an entry-level hatchback and will be replacing the Hyundai Eon in India. This will make it a direct competitor to the Renault Kwid, Maruti Alto and the Tata Tiago. Hyundai will officially reveal the name on the 4th of October.
