Based on the BMW X3, BMW has showcased the all-new X4 at the Geneva Motor Show.
Aesthetically, one can spot a lot of similarities with the X3 especially from the front end. It is 81 mm longer, 37 mm wider and 3 mm lower compared to the X3. Dimensions stand at 4,572 mm in length, 1,918 mm in width and 1,621 mm in height and even the wheelbase has increased by 54 mm to 2,864 mm. It is the sloping roofline that is the main differentiator in terms of design.
Powering the 2019 BMW X4 will be a 2.0-litre twin-turbo four-cylinder petrol with different power outputs along with a 2.0-litre twin-turbo four-cylinder diesel.
The Indian market will most likely be graced with the tried and tested 2.0-litre diesel which will be coupled with a 8-speed transmission box along with BMW’s xDrive AWD. For the X3, BMW has made the M Sport suspension and speed-sensitive electro-mechanical Servotronic steering as standard on all trims.
