Exhibit Garage – Long Term Reviews
In our constant endeavor to provide you with the best content and advice about cars, here is a section dedicated to the cars that we live with on an everyday basis – in rain, in traffic, in scorching heat. All of this just to provide you a real life review of your next set of wheels.
This month, we have been driving Hyundai’s mighty SUV- the Tucson and the Tata’s little wonder- the Tiago AMT.
Hyundai Tucson SX (O) Diesel AT Third Month Report
The Tucson has been coming in really handy especially during our cover shoots. Our camera crew has never been happier, thanks to the huge boot where they can safely keep in all of there expensive equipment. The Tucson might come across as a really big car when you first look at it but surprisingly it feels pretty compact from behind the wheel. Also, the convenience of an automatic gearbox has been a boon, especially in those peak rush hour traffic scenarios.
Distance covered – 2059 kms
Fuel efficiency – 11.8 kmpl (city) ; 14kmpl + (highway)
Remarks – Exhibit’s workhorse continues to impress!
Tata Tiago XZA AMT Final Report
Distance covered – 2103 kms
Fuel efficiency – 11.5 kmpl (approx)
It’s a hard goodbye to my daily driver as I shift my base back to Mumbai. Tiago AMT has served me well over the last couple of months and has been easing things up on the daily traffic chase.
The peppy 1.2-litre motor along with compact dimensions means you don’t have to worry about tight parking space anymore. Ride quality has always been a strong point for Tata car’s and the Tiago can absorb most city potholes(small craters for some) with ease.
Remarks – Some niggling issues and squeaky noises from cabin started creeping in, nothing major though. As mentioned before, Tata’s Connecti Next Music system and speakers are definitely the best in this segment.
