Suzuki Intruder 150
Japanese bikemaker Suzuki has launched its new cruiser in the 150cc category- the Intruder at Rs. 98,340 (ex-showroom Delhi).True to its name, the Intruder is basically a knocked down version of the orignal Suzuki Intruder and retains somewhat similar aesthetics.

It is powered by a 155cc engine which is borrowed from the Gixxer. It is a single-cylinder unit which makes 14 bhp at 8,000 rpm and 14 Nm of peak torque at 6,000 rpm.
The intruder is available in two colours – Metallic Oort/Metallic Matt Black No 2, and Glass Sparkle Black/Metallic Matt Titanium Silver and all the colours are priced similarly at INR 98,340 (ex-showroom, New Delhi).
Japanese carmaker Toyota’s luxury division- Lexus will be bringing in the NX300h in the Indian market. It was showcased recently in Mumbai and this will the carmaker’s fourth model in India. Bookings for the same have already started across Lexus dealerships in India for a token amount of Rs. 5 lakh and we can expect the car to be priced around Rs. 70 Lakh.
Just like the Lexus range in India, the NX300h will be a hybrid model which will be powered by a 2.5-litre petrol-electric motor which is good enough to churn out 196bhp of power which it borrows from the ES300h sedan. It will come in two engine variants namely the ‘Luxury’ and the loaded “F Sport” variant. A 10.3-inch infotainment screen is the highlight of the dashboard and the overall interior elements are very Lexus like which is a good thing as the quality is top notch.
The unveiling event took place at AB Celestial which is located at Mumbai’s Sea Face. A bright orange NX300h was placed on a ferry parked next to the dock which complemented Mumbai’s skyline. The ferry also played host to a fashion show later in the night. Lexus dealers, probably buyers and Page 3 celebrities were all present at the event

French carmaker Renault has launched the new Captur in India at a starting price of Rs. 9.99 Lakh going up to Rs. 13.88 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), for the top of the line Platine diesel variant. The Captur borrows its engine options from the Duster. Under the hood is a 1.5-litre K9K diesel that produces 110hp power and a 1.5-litre petrol which churns out 106hp and 142Nm of torque. Talking about the features, the top-end variant comes loaded with projector headlamps, C-shaped Sapphire LED DRLs, fully automatic temperature control with rear cooling vents, integrated audio system with USB & Aux-in and Bluetooth®, steering wheel controls, push-button start with remote central locking, dual airbags, Antilock-Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD) & Brake Assist and rear defogger with wiper.
Twenty-Two Motors ‘Flow’
Twenty-Two Motors, an electric vehicle startup has unveiled the prototype of their new smart electric scooter called ‘FLOW’. Using Artificial Intelligence, this Scooter is connected to cloud server all the time using which users can keep an eye on systems performance even they are not around the scooter. Servers analyse data through complex data analytic algorithms and suggest any upcoming service requirements. As the vehicle performs, aggregate rider and vehicle data helps with customized vehicle updates which are delivered automatically on the touch dashboard display. It even comes with a mobile app using which one can track the vehicle remotely, while the in-built Geo-Fencing allows security against theft. Vehicle automatically alerts the vehicle owner, once the vehicle is beyond the defined geographical boundaries, whereby the owner can shut it down using the smart APP.
Commenting on the launch Parveen Kharb, CEO and Co-Founder, Twenty Two Motors said “We are super excited to unveil the prototype of FLOW to the consumers in India. FLOW boasts of industry-defining features which are going to be the benchmarks for others to follow. We conducted surveys and open houses for about 500 customers in NCR, Pune and Jaipur and the response was overwhelming. We have put an initial investment of about 5mn in the manufacturing facility in Bhiwadi which has an installed capacity of 10,000 units”
The vehicle weighs approximately 85 kgs and is equipped with a DC motor, which is powered by a Lithium-Ion Battery, which can be charged within a short span of 2hours and can travel through a distance of more than 80kms with a top speed of 60 KMPH, with a single charging session. The product will be available with an option of dual battery at the higher-end. FLOW is facilitated with numerous features such as telescopic suspension, in-built mobile charger with sufficient storage space for 2 helmets. Flow is expected to be priced at INR 65,000 to 70,000.
Mercedes Benz CLA 45 AMG & GLA 45 AMG
Mercedes Benz India has launched updated CLA 45 AMG and GLA 45 AMG 4Matic at Rs. 75.2 Lakhs and Rs. 77.85 Lakhs (ex-showroom India) respectively.
Speaking at the launch, Roland Folger – Managing Director & CEO, Mercedes-Benz India said, “Performance car segment in India is fast evolving and hence product innovation becomes crucial to outpace the industry growth. Under the hood of these two beasts is the same 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine which is good enough for 376bhp of power along with 475NM of torque. The CLA 45 AMG can reach the 100kmph mark in 4.2 seconds whereas the GLA takes 4.4 seconds to do the same. This is Mercedes 6th and 7th AMG product launch this year completing a total number of 12 launches for 2017.
