Triumph Speed Triple RS
Triumph India has launched the all new Speed Triple RS in India at Rs. 10.55 lakh (ex-showroom, pan India). The new Street Triple family is currently on sale internationally in three variants namely the Street Triple S, Street Triple R and lastly, the Street Triple RS.
Mr. Vimal Sumbly, Managing Director, Triumph Motorcycles India Pvt Ltd. commented “Innovation at Triumph is motivated by our need to deliver products that suit rider requirements. The new Triumph Street Triple RS is a force-machine that delivers in terms of performance and style. It is the most explosive and adrenaline-charged Street Triple ever. Powering the new Speed Triple S is 765cc engine which is good enough to produce 123 bhp along with a peak torque of 77 NM. Further, the rider gets to choose between 5 different ride modes which you can adjust throttle response, suspension settings amongst other things. The Speed Triple is equipped with Pirelli Supercorsa tyres and even gets ABS as standard.
German auto giant Volkswagen has launched the new Passat in India at a starting price of ₹ 29.99 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). The Passat will be available in two variants and VW has not lauched the GTE (plug-in hybrid) variant introduced yet.
It was first showcased at the 2014 Paris Motor Show and is based on VW’s family MQB platform and is powered by a 2.0-litre TDI diesel engine mated to a 6-speed automatic-DSG gearbox. It is good enough for a healthy 177 PS of power and whereas the peak torque is rated at 350NM. Passat will be available in 6 colours, across all Volkswagen showrooms for test drives and bookings.

Mercedes Benz C Class “Edition C”
German carmaker Mercedes-Benz has introduced a new variant to its existing C-Class lineup called the ‘Edition C’. Changes in this variant are all aesthetic and include the addition of a new front spoiler lip and a rear spoiler. Such updates are common from the German carmaker especially during the upcoming Festive season in order to boost up sales.

The Mercedes-Benz C-Class ‘Edition C’ is available with C 200, C 220 d and C 250d Avantgarde variants. The ‘C 200 Avantgarde Edition C’ is priced at Rs. 42.54 lakhs, ‘C 220 d Avantgarde’ at Rs. 43.54 lakhs and ‘C 250 d Avantgarde Edition C’ at Rs.46.87 lakhs; all prices are ex -showroom, All India.
Piaggio Vespa RED
Piaggio has launched a special edition of the VESPA, known as the VESPA RED. It has been launched in collaboration with ‘RED’. RED is an organization which works actively on promoting awareness about AIDS. Piaggio India has launched the Vespa RED in India priced at 87,000 INR (ex-showroom, Maharashtra). It will be raising funds for fighting AIDS and also help the patients suffering from this dreaded disease with the money generated from the sales.
RED has been known to partner with the world’s most iconic brands. It created special RED edition products in collaboration with a renowned brand and then contributes profit percentage to the Global Fund for fighting against HIV and AIDS. Apple iPhone RED was also a part of this. Vespa is going to be the first automotive brand which is collaborating with RED. This is the first time that a RED-branded Vespa has been unveiled in India. However, Piaggio has launched, internationally, the RED-branded Vespa which was based on the 946 scooter – the ‘Piaggio Vespa 946 RED’.
Here’s everything you need to know the latest Piaggio Vespa RED:
1.The Vespa RED is based on the 125 cc Vespa and the 150 cc Vespa models and available in the Elegante trim, SXL, and VXL.
2.The Vespa 125 cc scooter is powered by a 125 cc, air-cooled engine making 10 bhp and 10.6 Nm of peak torque.
3.The Vespa 150 cc has a more powerful 150 cc motor making almost 11 bhp and 11.5 Nm of peak torque.
4.A part of the sales generated money from Vespa RED unit will be contributed to fight HIV and AIDS in India.
5.Vespa is the first automotive partner of RED.
6.The first announcement of the partnership was made in June 2016 in Rome, Italy.
Porsche 911 GT3 RS
Expanding the 911 sports car lineup in India, Porsche India has launched the all-new 911 GT3 sports car in the country priced at Rs 2.31 crore (ex-showroom, India).
The new Porsche 911 GT3 is essentially built for some exemplary track performance and gets a bulk of changes over its predecessor. In India, the Porsche 911 GT3 will be locking horns with the likes of the recently launched Mercedes-AMG GT R, Nissan GT-R, and the Audi R8.
A 4-litre six-cylinder boxer engine powers the 911 GT3 RS which has been tuned to 493 bhp of power and 540 Nm of peak torque. Buyers also have the option of choosing either the 7-speed PDK automatic transmission or a 6-speed manual gearbox.This sportscar can hit 0-100 kmph in 3.4 seconds on the automatic with a top speed of 318 kmph. The 911 GT3 manual, on other hand, takes 0.5 seconds more to do the 0-100 kmph sprint, but has a higher top speed of 320 kmph.
