Cars and clothes speak to people’s subconscious and conscious levels. So there’s no denying the fact that there is a blooming love affair in between cars and fashion! Throwing some more light on the above statement, we have compiled a list of 6 most fashionable cars ever made !
Number 1 on our list is the iconic Volkswagen Beetle. It was first introduced in 1937 to be a car for the common man. The Beetle was the brainchild of Ferdinand Porsche who was a mechanic’s son. Timely changes and updates along with the legacy and ‘cult feeling’ of the term Beetle has made the Beetle what it is today- a Fashion Statement.
The 21st Century Beetle gets all the bells and whistles that you can expect in a modern day car and is powered by a frugal yet powerful 1.4-litre TSI motor which is coupled with dual-clutch DSG gearbox.
Gucci’s Cadillac Seville
Classiest of them all, number two on our list is the Gucci Cadillac Seville. It was launched in 1979 in three different colours – white, black or brown – and it featured a back pillar covered in double G-printed vinyl, Gucci’s green and red trademark bands across the trunk lid, golden Gucci logos on the wheels and roof. Sold for $22,900, the package included a complementary set of Gucci luggage. Now who could have refused this Gucci branded Cadillac?
Lamborghini Murciélago LP 640 Versace Edition
Talk about rare cars and the Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 Roadster Versace edition would be right up there at the top. Only 2 of these beauties were ever made and were showcased at the Fashion Week in Milan! The notable Versace accents come on the interior courtesy of the Versace designers and the specialists for the ‘Ad Personam’ program at Lamborghini who married Nappa leather into the dashboard, doors, and headliner and seats with distinctive Versace Greek fret motif. Priced at over a million dollars, this beast produced 640bhp of power which was produced by a 6.5-litre V12 engine!
