Italian sportcar maker, Ferrari has launched the GTC4Lusso in India today. The V12 variant has been priced in India at Rs. 5.20 Cr(ex-showroom) whereas the V8 engine variant has been priced at Rs. 4.2 Crore. The GTC4 Lusso replaces the Ferrari FF Internationally and in India as well.
The smaller turbocharged V8-engined version is called the GTC4 Lusso T. And it’s not a sloth by any means as the 3.9-liter V8 turbo unit shoehorned into this four-seater Ferrari is capable of producing 602bhp of power and 760Nm of torque. And all that firepower is put to good use as well. The performance sheet validates the same with 0-100kph time of 3.5 seconds and a top speed of 320kph. The V12 variant is good enough to make 681 bhp and 697 Nm of peak torque. The motor is paired to a 7-speed dual clutch transmission. The GTC4 Lusso can hit 0-100 kmph in just 3.4 seconds and has a top speed of 345 kmph. The V12 variant also gets an AWD system.
Making it official debut at the 2016 Paris Motor Show, the Ferrari GTC4 Lusso T comes in rear-wheel drive. Losing the all-wheel drive system may be a bit of a turn-off for those buyers who were looking forward to a tamer and manageable version of the 4X4 four-seater V12-powered Ferrari shooting brake. But that should not be a major concern as the car still packs a lot of punch with its reduced weight and the rear-wheel steering system. Ferrari has also added features like Variable Boost Management along with enhancements in the engine to ensure that the GTC4 Lusso T is efficient as well as easier to drive. And that V8 motor has the prestigious tag of being the “International Engine of the Year 2016”, which is nothing short of a major USP in itself.
