Mercedes Benz India has launched the all new GLC 43 4MATIC Coupe in India at Rs. 74.8 Lakh (ex-showroom India). Under the hood of the AMG GLC 43 4MATIC Coupe is a 3.0-litre bi-turbo V6 that is good enough for 367bhp of power and maximum torque of 520NM. It has been coupled with a 9-speed automatic gearbox and Mercedes claims that it can do the 0-100 kmph dash in just 4.9 seconds.
Roland Folger, Managing Director and CEO, Mercedes Benz India said, “AMG, three letters that define, exemplify and evoke the racing DNA midst ardent driving performance aficionados around the world. Mercedes-Benz is celebrating 50 years of AMG globally, and AMG has sprinted from 0–50 years in a gasp of breath! In the course of this half century, Mercedes-AMG has further consolidated its position as an extremely successful sports car brand with its genes on a race track. Personally, I feel one of Mercedes-AMG’s key contributions to the world of performance motoring has been the incessant transfer of technology from race-track to series production cars, resulting in developing some of the most emotionally appealing and performance oriented vehicles.
Just as the name suggests, the AMG GLC 43 Coupe is based on the GLC SUV. Now the GLC43 AMG doesn’t really have a direct competition in the Indian market and one can compare this with the Porsche Macan R4. The Coupe also features the AMG DYNAMIC SELECT system which allows the driver to change the car’s settings according to their preferences through five preset modes: Eco, Comfort, Sport, Sport Plus and Individual.
