Futuristic BMW i8 Spyder officially teased by BMW!

BMW’s i8 has always been a very futuristic car. With all of it’s hybrid tech and the electric motors, some might even call it a bit ahead of its time. It’s the car which Tom Cruise raced through the streets in Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol. Interestingly, those scenes were set in India. But before that it made its first appearance as the BMW Concept Vision Efficient Dynamics – a plug-in hybrid sports car concept. Usually when a concept transforms to a production model, it ends up looking nothing like the show car which enticed crowds during auto shows. But the i8 is one of the exceptions. Production of the hybrid sports car started in 2014 and it has received an incredible response for a car of its class. Loaded with tech and gizmos, the i8 is the most expensive BMW available in India. Getting one is going to propel the owner to instant celebrity status among both sports car enthusiasts and the green brigade. Why so? It does 0-100kph in 4.4 seconds and delivers a fuel efficiency figure of 47kpl.
