Tata-owned Range Rover will be soon refreshing its engine lineup (basically tweaking them with more power) Internationally. The British carmakers hot-selling SUV’s – the Discovery Sport and the Evoque will be the first cars which will be getting this update.
The new updated 2018 model year cars are expected to come with these tweaked engines and will produce close to 286bhp of power and 400NM torque setup of the 2.0-litre petrol Ingenium engine while the diesel engine will be good enough for 237bhp of power and 340Nm of torque and is expected to be coupled with the existing nine-speed automatic transmission, a standard on all latest Land Rovers.
The main competition for these Land Rover SUV’s is the likes of Mercedes GLC, the Audi Q5, BMW X3 and the upcoming Volvo XC90. The Indian market will get these engines as soon as they are launched internationally as the cars have been doing well in the Indian market as well. Also, other JLR vehicles will be soon updated with these engines which will make them quite a promising proposition.
Stay tuned to the wheelz for much such updates from the auto industry!
