Indian Motorcycles partnered with Tennessee-based whiskey-maker Jack Daniels for the second time and this round saw the creation of 100 copies of the Indian Chieftain Jack Daniels limited edition cruiser. The last time these two came together, 150 limited-edition Jack Daniel’s Indian Springfield and Indian Chief Vintage were made and all of them were sold out in 8 hours. Their recent attempt has proven to be more successful as all the 100 units of the Indian Chieftain Jack Daniels limited edition cruiser have been sold out in 10 minutes.
The cruiser costs $35,000 a piece and has JD tributes all over it. Billet floorboards, engine cover, aluminum tank console and leather pouch come bearing “Old No 7” badges. The entire bike is finished in black and white paint with charcoal accents that stand for Jack Daniels’ unique charcoal mellowing process. A 19-inch contrast-cut front wheel and a handcrafted silver horn cover are the other major changes. And just in case the bike’s special edition theme misguides its rider to pull over and have a drink before hitting the highway again, its makers have inscribed the message of not mixing drinking with driving on the bike itself – “Bottle and Throttles Don’t Mix”.
Oh… and you’ll get a wooden American flag made of the staves taken from an old liquor barrel from the JD distillery along with the Indian Chieftain Jack Daniels limited edition cruiser. That’s a neat touch.
