Tiago has been a successful product from Tata ever since it has been launched in India and the same has now got an AMT gearbox. Only the petrol variant (XZA top-spec) gets the AMT gearbox and the same has been priced at Rs 5.39 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), about Rs.40,000 above the top-spec manual variant.

The Tiago AMT also gets two drive modes – Sports and City which according to Tata tweak the performance according to “a peppy driving experience and city cruising” respectively and even a ‘creep’ mode which will be a boon for city traffic conditions. The AMT Tiago uses the same 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder Revotron motor which is good for 85PS of power and 114Nm of torque. Fuel efficiency has been rated at 23.84kmpl for the manual variant and the AMT is also expected to deliver similar figures.
