UM Motorcycles India is slowly but steadily expanding its operations across the country. However, their range of cruisers comprising of the UM Renegade Commando and UM Renegade Sport S have just gotten dearer as the company has announced a price hike. Rajeev Mishra, director of UML has stated the rising costs of raw materials and other operating costs as the reasons behind the price hike.The Renegade Commando’s price has been bumped up from Rs. 1.59 lakh to Rs. 1.64 lakh. As for the Renegade Sport S, the price has been increased from Rs. 1.49 lakh to Rs. 1.57 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom, Delhi and have been brought into effect from 1st January, 2017.Both cruiser motorcycles which share the same 280cc single-cylinder, 25.3bhp, 21.8Nm engine are manufactured locally by UM Lohia joint venture at Lohia Auto’s facility in Kashipur, Uttrakhand.
