Volkswagen has received a shot in the arm with the launch of the Ameo and is busy populating their portfolio for India with more variants across the line-up. The latest additions are the Polo Allstar Edition and a more powerful diesel-engined Vento. Both cars are available for sale via VW dealerships across the country.The Volkswagen Polo Allstar Edition comes with a price tag of Rs. 7.51 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai) and commemorates the 2016 UEFA Europa Championship. Running on 15-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels and garnished with AllStar branding on the B-Pillars, the VW Polo Allstar can be ordered in a variety of colors including the until-now Ameo-exclusive shade of Blue Silk. Inside, the upholstery has been replaced with one that has contrast stitching. Other upgrades include a front armrest, rear HVAC vent, AllStar branded scuff plates and aluminium pedals. The hatchback will be available in both 1.2-liter MPi petrol and 1.5-liter TDI diesel variants, each mated with a 5-speed manual transmission.The Volkswagen Vento diesel has received a heart transplant. The new turbocharged, four cylinder 108bhp unit which has been employed in the VW Ameo and the all-new Skoda Rapid has now found a new home under the hood of the VW sedan. Transmission case choices can be made between a 5-speed manual transmission and a 7-speed DSG dual-clutch automatic transmission. Fuel efficiency figures for both the manual and the automatic variants are around a remarkable 22kpl.The Blue Silk color scheme has also been added to the list of shades in which you can have your new Vento. Prices start at Rs. 8.16 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
