KTM Reveals Its RC16 MotoGP Racer At The Red Bull Ring

KTM is finally joining the MotoGP party and to show the world what to expect from the Austrian motorbike maker, they have taken the wraps off their contender – the KTM RC16 – at the Austrian leg of this season. The manufacturer chose the Red Bull Ring to unveil its steed with which it plans to take on Aprilia, Ducati, Honda, Suzuki, and Yamaha.

KTM_RC16_MotoGP (3)The KTM RC16 had been in development since 2014 and has cleared nine testes since Alex Hoffman took it out for the first test ride. It will be undergoing four more tests in the coming months before the official race debut takes place in November at Valencia. The bike will be competing in the last race of the season with Mika Kallio on board.

KTM_RC16_MotoGP (2)Kallio will be serving as a test rider from then and former Yamaha riders Bradley Smith and Pol Espargaro will be taking over as the 2017 Grand Prix season begins.
