Four is Never Enough: Mercedes Benz G63 AMG 6X6

The Mercedes Benz G63 AMG 6X6 is the off-roader which we had been waiting for.

Heck, these bad boys can even literally dent a super car-driving city-slicker’s sweet ride in all the right places and walk away from the scene without any battle scars left on their own body pane. SUVs are intimidating and that’s what many of us want and have come to expect from them. You don’t necessarily have to traverse the Sahara or cross the Nile every day. Neither do you have the need to pull trucks out of slush. You aren’t going to chase terrorists across the streets of Moscow like Bruce Willis did in A Good Day To Die Hard. Still, it’s good to know that you can. The most that you’ll ever do is to bully the hatchbacks and sedans off your path. But it’s still good to know that you can drive over them if you want to. That’s why the Mercedes Benz G-Class is still popular and still being sold in fairly good numbers despite its looks which belong in the late 70’s.

Cutting to the chase, the trustworthy steed of many armed forces in the world is also one of the most-sought-after premium vehicles of the rich and the famous – mostly from the Middle East. The oil barons in Arabia love this machine, especially in its AMG-tuned V8 and V12 forms. But at times even they demand more. They ask themselves questions like how will it be like if the G-Class had more power, more torque, more luxury and more of whatever that their mind deems opulent. Most of these can be got done by an aftermarket tuner who would gladly punch in even a fire-breathing dragon upon the bonnet if the Sheikh fancies one of those. But now Mercedes Benz has officially got into the race to satisfy all the desires and needs of their wealthy customer base in the Middle East. Without making it sound like the neon-lit signboard of a Vegas strip club, allow us to tell you…or to be more specific, show you how.

Behold the G63 AMG 6X6. Yes, it has six wheels and once you’ve come to terms with that that part, we’d advise that you sit down and read the rest. It’s a six-wheel drive G-Class off-roader. If four-wheel drive was too less, then bolt on two more driven wheels and you have too much. And the last time we enquired with the Congress of Awesomeness, more is always better. For those who found the four-wheel drive potent in its purest form, imagine what a six-wheel drive can do. We’d recommend that you go on to little site called YouTube where you’ll find loads of videos of people doing the Harlem Shake and dancing the Gangnam Style. But, instead of checking all that redundant stuff out there, key in “G63 AMG 6X6” and prepare to pick up your jaw from the floor. It’s three and a half minutes of enticingly thrilling off-roading orgasm packed with everything that you’d come to expect from a top notch video shot in HD. Clouds moving backwards, studded tyres kicking up sand in slow-motion and the G63 AMG 6X6 in all its glory, conquering deserts, leaping across strips of roads, drifting across wastelands, conquering a gargantuan boulder and even pulling an “all 6 in the air” leap before concluding its portfolio video by literally creating a sandstorm in the middle of the desert. And it has an epic background score to match its tone and action.
